What is a Part L Compliance Report?
When building a new dwelling you are now required to submit a report which includes SAP calculations to demonstrate your building complies with Part L of the Building Regulations. The SAP Rating provides a Target Emission Rate (TER) and Design Emission Rate (DER) for the proposed dwelling.
Upon completion of the works a pressure test to show that the air permeability is within reasonable limits will be required before final adjustment calculations can be produced to confirm the as-constructed building is consistent with the DER and to enable an Energy Performance Certificate to be issued for the completed dwelling.
