SAP Reports (On Construction Domestic Energy Assessment)

SAP Reports

What is a SAP Report and who can issue one?

SAP stands for ‘Standard Assessment Procedure’. It is the only official, government approved system for assessing the energy rating of a new home, conversion or extension (where there is a significant amount of glazing) against the current version of the Building Regulations Part L.
SAP assessors must be accredited and registered with a certification body.

Who needs a SAP Report?

Builders, Developers and Architects.
Approved Document Part L requires a SAP calculation to be carried out to demonstrate compliance with energy performance requirements on domestic properties under construction ideally before the work actually starts. Once complete an Energy Performance Certificate must be issued for the completed building.
At Plan View we are able to provide these services for you in a timely and accurate manner.
